Sergeant Douglas Molczyk
Sgt. Molczyk started his career in 1989 with the Columbus Police Department. He has served the citizens of Columbus since that day. Sgt. Molczyk started as a patrol officer for 4 years, spent 7 years as a Criminal Investigator and 10 years a drug investigator, attached to the SNARE Drug Task Force. Sgt. Molczyk was promoted to his current position in 2010. Sgt. Molczyk is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, class 251. Sgt. Molczyk is also a graduate of Kearney State College with a BS in Criminal Justice and a Master’s of Science in Forensic Science from Nebraska Wesleyan. Sgt. Molczyk has been married to his wife Linette for 29 years, has three children and three grandchildren. Sgt. Molczyk is active in Boy Scouts and is a member of the Board of Education for Columbus Public Schools.
